We are looking for 10 community members who live in either Ward 5 or 7 in Petersburg and are interested in leading house chats as Wellness Ambassadors as part of this research study's 2nd wave. If you’re interested in learning more, see below or contact us for more information.

A Wellness Ambassador is an individual who is interested in engaging community members in healthy lifestyle changes as well as willing to engage in these behaviors themselves. As a Wellness Ambassador, you will also be a House Chat Leader meaning you will lead weekly house chats covering various topics. We are recruiting 10 community members to become Wellness Ambassadors / House Chat Leaders.
If you are selected to lead house chats, you would be asked to:
You will attend trainings prior to the initiative beginning. Once the initiative starts, you will lead weekly 60-minute meetings for 12 weeks with the participants in your house chat. You will also have weekly supervision and support meetings with the research team.
You will complete approximately 15 hours of virtual training and 25 hours of in-person training.
You will receive $5 for completing the application, and if selected as a Wellness Ambassador, you will be paid $20/hour for your time and contributions to our team.
